Santo Antão Sul season starts this weekend

Saturday, December 13th, will see the return of football to Santo Antão Sul as the Supertaça starts the season. The competition will see last year’s regional champions, Os Sanjoanenses, the on Lajedos, winners of the regional cup competition, Taça Porto Novo. Three time regional champions Sanoanenses will attempt to take home their third Supertaça while Lajedos will strive to win their first.
The following weekend, December 20th, will mark the start of the Taça Porto Novo with Sanjoanenses hosting Inter and Tarrafal facing Lajedos. Académica do Porto Novo will start the competition with a bye week.
Finally, the regional league, campeonato regional, will get underway on January 24th. Sanjoanenses will again play host but this time to Académica with Tarrafal-Inter closing the first round of competitions that will see Lajedos on a bye.
