Campeonato regional gets underway in São Nicolau

Ultramarina and Atlético will start the regional championship of São Nicolau on Saturday. The two teams met recently in the Supertaça which saw Atlético prevail. The game is scheduled for 4pm local time at the Estadio Orlando Rodrigues in Tarrafal.
At the same time but over at the Estadio Di Deus in Ribeira Brava, Belo Horizonte will host Chã de Poça. The first round of games will conclude on Sunday at the Estadio Orlando Rodrigues with AJAT-SN hosting Desportivo da Ribeira Brava followed by Praia Branca will play Mancha Verde.
The campeonato regional will feature eight teams this year as FC Talho and Académica da Preguiça have decided not to participate. Desportivo do return after a years absence.
